Everything You've Been Wondering Before Saying Yes to Yourself

These are the questions almost everybody asks before they decide to work with me. Read them in order or go straight to the one that's nagging at you. Either way — notice what happens when you read the answers.

What is "the good kind of selfish" and why does it matter?

Most women have been taught — directly or indirectly — that putting themselves first is selfish in the bad sense.

  • Demanding.

  • Unkind.

  • Too much.

The good kind of selfish is the opposite of that. It means:

  • knowing your worth,

  • protecting your energy, and

  • giving from a place of genuine abundance rather than quiet resentment.

It's not about taking more. It's about finally stopping the constant giving-away of yourself to people and situations that were never entitled to it.

When you get there, everyone around you benefits — including the people you love most.

Who is this coaching for?

It's for women who are capable, driven, and quietly exhausted from being everything to everyone. Women who have built careers, relationships, and reputations on showing up — and who have started to wonder why it doesn't feel like enough. Women who give generously and openly, but somewhere along the way lost sight of themselves in the process. If you've ever felt invisible in your own life, like your needs are always last, or like being "too much" is a problem to fix — you're exactly who I work with.

What makes your coaching different from other coaches?

A few things.

First, I work specifically on self-image — not productivity, not mindset in the abstract, not goal-setting. The work we do goes to the root: how you see yourself, what you believe you're worth, and what you keep giving away because you don't yet believe you're allowed to keep it.

Second, I hold an ICF Level 2 credential — the highest standard in professional coaching, held by less than 4% of coaches worldwide.

Third, I've lived this work personally. I know what it costs to be the person who never lets anyone down. That's not a marketing line — it's why I do this.

How can I be confident this coaching will actually work for me?

Honestly? I can't promise it will — and any coach who does is lying to you.

What I can tell you is this: the people I work with who get results are the ones

  • who show up honestly,

  • do the work between sessions, and

  • stop waiting to feel ready before they begin.

If that's you, it works. The frameworks are proven. The process is clear. And I will not let you off the hook.

How do I know this is a worthwhile investment right now?

Here's the question underneath that question: how much is staying exactly where you are actually costing you?

  • In energy.

  • In resentment.

  • In the opportunities you're not taking because you don't yet trust yourself enough to take them.

Coaching is an investment. So is doing nothing. One of them compounds in your favour.

How can I feel safe trusting you with my money?

A fair question and I respect you for asking it directly.

My services are clearly defined before you commit to anything. Payments are processed through Smart Belgium, a recognised and trusted cooperative, so the transaction is handled securely and independently. You'll know exactly what you're getting before you spend a penny. And if something isn't working, we talk about it — that's part of the process too.

What do others experience when they work with you?

The word I hear most often is seen.

People tell me they feel genuinely heard — not managed or advised at.

After that, the most common shifts are:

  • being able to say no without the guilt spiral,

  • making decisions without endlessly second-guessing themselves, and

  • stopping the quiet resentment that builds when you keep giving more than you have.

You can read their words directly here.

Why should I pay for coaching when there’s so much free content available?

Free content tells you what to think. Coaching changes how you think.

You've probably already

  • read the books,

  • listened to the podcasts, and

  • bookmarked the articles.

And you're still here, asking this question.

That's not a criticism — it's just evidence that information alone isn't what you need.

What creates real change is having someone who

  • sees your specific patterns,

  • asks the question you've been avoiding, and

  • holds you to the version of yourself you actually want to be.

That's not something a podcast can do. And while we are at it, I have a podcast too, and you can listen to it here.

How do I know my personal information will remain private and secure?

Everything you share with me stays between us. Full stop.

Confidentiality isn't a policy I follow — it's the foundation that makes this work possible. You cannot be honest in a coaching session if you're worried about who's listening.

So:

  • your conversations are private,

  • your data is never shared, and

  • you can speak freely.

That's a promise, not a disclaimer.

Still have a question that isn't answered here?

The fastest way to get it answered is a free 15-minute Clarity Call.

No pitch, no pressure — just an honest conversation about where you are and whether this is the right next step for you.

Testimonials

T.

I have attended three coaching sessions with Emel, each of which lasted for about 1.5 hours. I'm impressed by her inspiratory questions digging into my experiences, helping me discover hidden points that are actually crucial for me. Besides, I like her exercise tasks about loving myself and I keep doing them after the sessions. Another thing is that I learned from her to celebrate what I have done. I never thought I had so many things to celebrate. The feeling is really good and long-lasting!
